What you will learn

You already use Claude to write and think. On this course you build with it: A skill, an app, an API call and an automation, all on the same case.

By the end of the course you can:

  • Package a way of working as a skill, so Claude does it the same way every time.

  • Have Claude Code build what you describe, and fix it by describing the fault.

  • Call the Claude API with your own documents and get answers as fields a program can use.

  • Decide whether a task belongs in a skill, in Claude Code or in an automation.

About the course

Details and modules

  • Lessons

Six blocks, one case. The instructor builds first, then you build from an exercise sheet, and anything that is only demonstrated comes after the exercise:

    • Your first skill: You end up with a skill that knows your price list and looks up today's exchange rate itself through an MCP connector. Along the way you see why a skill that guesses a rate is worse than no skill at all. Bonus: Tasks on a schedule, sharing with the team and Cowork.
    • Vibe coding with Claude Code: Four months of sales reports turn into a dashboard while you watch. You change it with one sentence, and when the May report shows up in a new format you only describe the symptom and Claude Code finds the fault itself.
    • Your first API call: This is where you meet the other side of Claude: The Console, your own key and the first call in Playground. You read the call as code and in the log, and by the end you have a chat page, built by Claude Code, that remembers the conversation and counts tokens for you.
    • API tools: Two more calls on the same key. First you send your documents along and get answers with citations. Then you pull orders out of supplier emails as fixed fields with structured outputs, and when an email gives no delivery date the model returns null, because the schema allows it. Bonus: Tool use, web search and MCP.
    • Your first AI automation: The day's real automation: A flow in Power Automate Desktop takes a supplier email, reuses the call from the previous block and types the order into a system that has no API. If the date is missing, the robot stops and says so.
    • Your AI operating system with Claude Code: Finally you bring it all together in one folder with a short CLAUDE.md. Claude Code keeps your to-do list, a stopped project carries on in a new session from a status file, and you write your own skills as plain prompts. Bonus: Tasks on a schedule while you are away.

Changes: New features are continuously added to Claude. When appropriate, we incorporate these into the course to ensure coverage of the newest functionalities. Therefore, the above topics may be adjusted accordingly.

  • Target audience

Do you have Claude open most of the day and a feeling that it could do more of the work itself? Then this course is for you, whether you work as a consultant, in IT, in analysis, in automation or as the person responsible for AI in your company. Claude Code writes the code. Your job is to describe what you want and try again until it works.

  • Prerequisites

You should have used Claude or a similar AI tool before. Every exercise sheet is written click by click, so it does not matter if you have never built a skill or called an API.

  • Duration and location

The course lasts a full day (7 hours). We agree on the date and location with you, and you choose whether it runs on-site or online.

Online, we draw on our experience from the YouTube channel to keep the teaching lively and interactive on screen.

On-site, we come to you. Travel and accommodation are added to the price by agreement.

  • Equipment and licences

The course runs on the participants' own computers. Each participant needs Claude on a paid plan (the course is built for Team and Enterprise) and a Claude Console account with a payment card and at least $20 in credits. They also need the Claude app for Windows, Git for Windows, and Power Automate Desktop with its Microsoft Edge extension installed. You get a preparation guide before the course.

  • Format

The course combines live teaching with practical exercises. Participants work through examples and tasks themselves, with help from the instructor.

Every exercise sheet guides participants click by click.

  • E-learning

Participants get access to our e-learning during the course and can use it afterwards at their own pace. It lives on I Love Automation, where the content is kept up to date. There are also active communities where participants can get help applying what they learned to their own work.

  • Number of participants

We recommend up to about 15 participants per course. That leaves room for everyone to take part, ask questions, and get help from the instructor.

  • Terms and conditions

Our services follow clear business terms built on mutual trust and simple transactions. Note that all services require prepayment and are non-refundable. Read our terms and conditions for details.

  • Price and booking

The price is fixed regardless of the number of participants, which makes the course a good fit for teams that want thorough teaching at a good price.
